Sagardo means “cider” in Eurskara, the Basque language. Sagardo (pronounced suh-gar-doe) is our flagship. It’s our Pacific Northwest homage to the ciders we love so much from Basque Country. It’s our only cider fermented and aged in giant oak foeders. Bright, balanced, bad ass. The way you always wanted cider to taste. Fermented spontaneously. No added sulfites. This vintage has delicious notes of banana, papaya, clove & orange peel. The pour top cork adds theater to the meal, allowing you to long pour from higher heights. Sagardo’s unique blend includes 25% Muscadet de Lense, 15% Champagne Reinette, 15% Jonathan, 15% Newtown Pippin, 10% Frequin Rouge, 10% Karmijn de Sonnaville, and 10% King David.

Beti means "always" in Euskara, the Basque language. Beti (pronounced bet-ee) is your always-in-the-fridge cider. It tastes dry, bright, and fresh like a summer day on the river. Fermented spontaneously, then aged for 6 months exclusively in stainless steel. No added sulfites. This vintage has crushable notes of green banana peel and lemon. Beti’s unique blend includes 30% Gravenstein, 15% Karmijn de Sonnaville, 15% Newtown Pippin, 20% Domaines, 10% Muscadet de Dieppe, and 10% Muscadet de Lense.

Txiki means “little” in Euskara, the Basque language. Txiki (pronounced chee-kee) blends just two little apple varieties, but it’s big on flavor. Prepare for super tart with complexity. Fermented spontaneously, then aged for 6 months exclusively in stainless steel. No added sulfites. This vintage has warm notes of orange peel and spice. Txiki’s unique blend includes 50% Columbia Crabapple and 50% Muscadet de Dieppe.

Handi means “big” in Euskara, the Basque language. Handi (pronounced han-dee) is rich and full. Big portions of bittersweet, tannic apples make it taste as golden as its color. Fermented spontaneously, then aged for 6 months exclusively in stainless steel. No added sulfites. This vintage has full notes of red apple skin and forest floor. Handi’s unique blend includes 25% Calville Blanc d’Hiver, 15% Newtown Pippin, 30% Marie Menard, and 30% Muscadet de Dieppe.

Basajaun is an exclusive collaboration between Son of Man and Basque cidermakers Maite Ojanguren and Haritz Urrestarazu. Fermentation takes place in a mix of stainless steel and large chestnut foeders. It is Sagardo's wild cousin – more sour, more salty, more wild. Its flavor profile and format celebrate adventure. Crack one open while grilling over a wood fire after a long day of fly fishing.

Son of Man Vermouth is made in partnership with Someday Bar in Portland, Oregon. We take our bright Sagardo, fortify it with distilled cider, and flavor it with fresh produce and dried botanicals. This year’s Harvest Vermouth is infused with birch bark, rose hips, & bitter orange then sweetened with carrot top honey. Drink neat this holiday season. Limited 40 case production. Just another way to enjoy our Basque style cider from Oregon’s Columbia River Gorge.
